Manage pages and page groups of your event website navigation menu

This article explains how you can add, edit and delete pages and page groups that appear on your event website navigation menu.

Difference between a page and a page group

A page is accessible from the navigation menu of your event website. In this page, you can add content like text and images containing event information that you want to share to participants from your event website.

A page group is not a page in which you can add content. It is a dropdown menu in your navigation in which you can insert pages. In the dashboard, a page group is called a folder.

In the screenshot below Presentations and Program are pages. Plan your trip and Exhibitors are page groups (notice the caret icon). The exhibitors page group contains two pages: Exhibitor Information Corner and Floor plan.

Add a page or page group to your event website

Your event website contains default pages, e.g., the home page, a registration form, a submission form, etc.

You can add your own custom pages and page groups.

  1. In your event dashboard, go to Website. Your pages are listed in the Manage pages panel. If the panel is closed, click Manage pages.

  2. At the top of the panel, click the Add page or Add folder icon.

  3. Enter the name of your page or page group, then press Enter or click the check mark. To add content to a new page, click it in the panel.

  4. You can drag a page or page group to change the order in which they appear in the navigation menu.

Note: Adding custom pages and page groups is available from the Advanced plan.

Link to a page

  1. In your event dashboard, click View website, then open the page.

  2. Copy the address of the page from the address bar of your browser.

  3. Paste this address in a text link, or in the Button link field of a block.

Reorder a page or a page group

Simply drag and drop a page or page group to change its order in the navigation menu. You can drag and drop a page inside a page group to nest it under.

In the example below, the page group Plan your trip contains two nested pages: Lodging and Travel awards.

Edit the name of a page or page group

  1. In your event dashboard, go to Website.

  2. In the Manage pages panel, click the ellipsis menu (...) next to the page or page group you would like to change, then select Rename.

  3. Enter the new name, then press Enter or click the check mark.

Delete a page or page group

  1. In your event dashboard, go to Website.

Manage pages button highlighted in the Website section
  2. In the Manage pages panel, click the ellipsis menu (...) next to the page or page group you would like to delete, then select Delete.

  3. For a page, type DELETE to confirm.

  4. Click Delete.

Deleting a page also deletes its content blocks. Deleting a page group does not delete the pages it contains. Default pages, such as the registration or program page, can't be deleted, but you can hide them with Edit visibility.
