Add and arrange content blocks

Add, edit, move, copy and delete the content blocks of your event website pages, and crop their images.

As an organizer, you build the pages of your event website with content blocks, such as text, images, speakers, logos, files and videos. This article gives the steps that are the same for every block. The article of each block explains its own settings.

Note: the Text block is available on every plan. The Video block is available with the Pro plan. The other blocks are available from the Essential plan.

Add a block

You can add blocks to the Home page and to the pages you created. The Registration, Submission, Program, Presentations and Participants pages show a preview only, so you can't add blocks to them.

  1. In your event dashboard, go to Website.

  2. In the Manage pages panel, click the page. If the panel is closed, click Manage pages.

  3. If the page is empty, click Add block.

  4. If the page already has blocks, point to the plus icon where you want the new block. Then click Add block.

  5. In the Select a block type window, click a block type on the left.

  6. Click a layout on the right. The block is added to the page.

  7. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.

A diamond icon next to a block type means that your plan doesn't include this block.

Edit a block

To edit a block, point to it. A toolbar shows at the top right of the block.

  • To change the text, click it in the block and type.

  • To change the settings of the block, click the pencil icon (Edit). The Block settings open, with tabs such as General, Style, Layout or Content, depending on the block.

  • In the Speakers, Accordion, Multi rows and Multi columns blocks, click Add item to add an item.

Then click Save changes.

Move, copy or delete a block

  1. Point to the block to show its toolbar.

  2. Click an icon in the toolbar:

    • Move up or Move down moves the block one position.

    • Copy adds a copy of the block right below it.

    • Delete (trash icon) removes the block.

  3. Click Save changes.

Delete doesn't ask you to confirm. To get the block back before you save, click Discard. Discard cancels all the changes since you last saved.

Crop an image

You can crop the images of the Text & image, Gallery, Logos, Speakers, Multi rows and Multi columns blocks. For example, crop the portrait photo of a keynote speaker to center the face:
