As an organizer, you can let submitters edit their accepted submissions after the submission deadline. For example, they can answer reviewer comments, revise their abstract, or upload a full paper or presentation material.
How to activate this option
Go to Submission > Form > Settings.
Under Options, toggle on Submissions can be modified when accepted.
Click Save changes.
After the deadline, submitters can edit only their accepted submissions. For other submissions, the form shows It is not possible to modify this form.
Accept submissions
To make a submission editable after the deadline, accept it in Submission > Submissions. You need at least one presentation type to accept a submission. See Change the decision of one or more submissions.
Submitters edit their accepted submission from their participant dashboard, as Edit my submission describes. On the event website, the submission page still shows Submissions closed, with a link to their submissions.
Collect revisions or full papers
To collect revised abstracts or full papers after the review, use the Submissions can be modified when accepted option:
Toggle on the option and accept the submissions, as described above.
If you need a new file, add a field for it to the submission form.
Ask the accepted submitters to edit their submission.
To add a field for a full paper or a revised abstract:
Go to Submission > Form.
Click Add field, then select File upload.
Give the field a label, for example "Full paper" or "Revised abstract".
Leave Mandatory off. If the field is mandatory, nobody can save changes to a submission without this file.
Click Save.
Accepted submitters see the new field when they edit their submission.
To ask the accepted submitters to edit their submission:
Go to Submission > Submissions.
Select the accepted submissions. You can use the filters to find them.
Click Contact.
Under Recipients, select Submitters.
In your message, tell submitters what to revise or upload.
Add the Submission form link variable. It gives each submitter a direct link to edit their submission.
Send the email.
