You sometimes need to add a registrant without having to pay for their items.
This is useful for example to add speakers to your data and have all their registration information including their selection of options which would have a cost for regular participants.
Procedure
In the event dashboard, go to Registration > Registrations and click Actions > Add. If there are no registrations yet, click Add below the empty table instead. The registration form opens with empty participant fields.
Fill in the participant's information and select all the options, including those with a cost.
Click Continue to payment.
Select Skip payment as your payment method. This option is only visible to organizers.
Click Register.
The registration now appears in Registration > Registrations with the paid options selected, and the participant didn't have to pay. Its transaction is recorded with the payment method Ignored.
What Skip payment records
The transaction total and the price of each item are 0, and the transaction shows as Paid.
The participant doesn't receive a receipt or an invoice by email.
You can't delete this transaction. To remove an item, cancel the item instead.
Note: If you want the participant to pay, don't use Skip payment. Select Invoice payment or Forward payment instead. Invoice payment shows only if you activate payments by invoice. For Forward payment, see Forward payment.
After the registration period closes
As an organizer, you can still add registrations after the registration period closes. The website then hides the registration button for participants, but Actions > Add in Registration > Registrations still opens the form. Follow the procedure above.
