Connect your event to a payment gateway

This article explains how to link your event to a payment gateway in order to collect payments by credit card.

Compatible Payment Gateways

To collect payments by credit card, you can to connect your event to a payment gateway. Here are the payment gateways compatible with Fourwaves:

  • Stripe

  • TouchNet

  • Global Payments

  • Moneris

  • Paypal (debit card are supported as well as long as the participant has a Paypal account).

Connect with Stripe

  1. In Configuration > Payments, under the Stripe section click on Connect.

  2. This will bring you to the Stripe website where you can login if you already have a Stripe account or you can create one (enter your organization details and bank account information).

  3. You will be redirected back to Fourwaves

  4. It will now say Connected indicating the event is properly connect to the payment gateway.

Choose the currency

Make sure to select your currency in the dropdown menu.

Once connected, chose the payment gateway from the dropdown menu in the event's Configuration > Payments page

If you’re an admin of the organization, you’ll be able to select it directly. Otherwise, if you’re an event organizer but not an admin, a payment gateway connection request will be generated, which will need to be approved by an admin in Finances -> Payment Gateways of the Organization dashboard.
