Set up virtual poster sessions

This article explains how to activate the virtual poster sessions at your event.

The live app includes a virtual poster hall that allows participants to talk to each other through live video conversations in front of their posters.

Create a session with a Virtual Poster Session room

  1. Navigate to your schedule.

  2. Click Add to add a new session.

  3. Create a new room.

  4. Give it a name and select Virtual Poster Session under Live stream.

Assign presentations to this sessions

You need to add the submissions (the posters) that will be presented virtually during this session. This is required in order for posters to appear in the virtual poster hall and for video conversations to be active for those posters during the session.

The session will look something like this.

In this example, from 15:30 to 18:00, participants will be able to go to the poster hall and start video conversations in front of the 13 posters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reuse the same room for multiple sessions?

Yes! You can reuse the same room in your schedule for multiple sessions, as long as the time for those sessions don't overlap.

Do video conversations automatically stop when the session ends?

No. If participants are in a video conversation, the conversation will not automatically close, but it won't be possible to start new conversations.

Can I extend my virtual poster session while it is ongoing?

Yes, you can change the time the session ends to extend it or shorten it, even while the poster session is ongoing.
