Get ready for a virtual event on Fourwaves

This article explains what to do to get ready for a virtual event on Fourwaves.

Register to the event

Everyone including presenters need to be registered to the event. If you're not registered to the event, go to the event website and fill the Registration from.

If the registration period is closed, contact the organizers.

You can confirm that you're registered by going to your Participant dashboard, on the Registrations tab. There you should see events to which you're registered.

Activate your Fourwaves account

Click the link in the registration confirmation email received after registration.

If you lost this email, you can request a link to activate your account:

  1. Enter the email used in the registration and you will get a link to activate your account and set your password to login.

Use a compatible browser (e.g. Chrome)

Compatible: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari or Opera.

Not compatible: Internet explorer and old versions of Edge.

If you're using a mobile device:

  • Apple (iPhone or iPad): Safari only.

  • Android: Chrome or Firefox.

Run a video conversation test

On the device you plan to use on the day of the event, perform a test to make sure your camera, microphone, and browser are compatible: Run the video call test

This is useful if you plan on participating to virtual poster sessions.

Want to share your screen on a Mac?

Make sure your browser has permission from your operating system to share screen. Read this article for more information.

The share screen option does not work on iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices.
