Adding a payment gateway at the organization level allows you to link events to it and collect credit card payments.
Once a payment gateway is connected:
Admins can link events directly from the Event Dashboard.
Event organizers can see the available payment gateways and request to link an event.
How to connect a new payment gateway
In the Organization Dashboard, under Finances > Payment gateways, click Connect.
General info
Enter the following information:
Name: it identifies your payment gateway internally.
Sharing code (optional): provide this code to outside organizers to allow them to link their events to it.
Billing info (optional): This information is passed automatically to the event once it is linked to the payment gateway. They will appear on invoices and also at the checkout.
Select a provider
From the drop-down menu, select the payment gateway provider. Depending on the choice, the information to provide, or the way to connect it, will vary.
Stripe: Click Go to Stripe and continue the setup directly on Stripe’s website.
PayPal: Click Go to PayPal and continue the setup directly on PayPal's website.
Global Payments: Enter your App ID and App Key.
TouchNet: Enter your TLink URL, uPay Site URL, and uPay Site ID.
The uPay URL and TLink URL must include a port.
The most common uPay URL port is the standard one: 443.
Moneris (tokenization): Enter your Store ID, API Token, and Tokenization ID.
Worldline (Bambora): Enter your Merchant ID and API Key.
Authorize.net: Enter your API Login ID, Transaction Key, and Public Client Key.
Default currency
In the Select provider step, you’ll also be asked to select a default currency. To note:
This currency will be automatically selected when you link an event.
If needed, you can change the currency for each linked event, except for a Moneris gateway or an event from another organization.
For Moneris, CAD is the only currency available.
Frequently asked questions
Can the provider be changed after the payment gateway was connected?
No. To use another provider, connect a new payment gateway. You can delete the old payment gateway only once no event is linked to it anymore.
